3. Attend WorkOne Indy Orientation
WorkOne Indy Orientation provides an overview of services, eligibility requirements, and how training funding is determined. This orientation is available multiple times per week, and you must register in advance.
Immediately following orientation, team members are available to help with scheduling next steps beginning with your first meeting with a Career Navigator.
4. Introductory Meeting(s) with Career Navigator
During your initial meetings with your Career Navigator, you will develop a unique employment plan specific to your goals and identify what resources and trainings can help you meet your goals.
Please be prepared to provide the required documentation at this meeting to determine eligibility and continue moving forward. View list of required items.
After confirming eligibility, Career Navigator will schedule the Talent & Fit Assessment.
5. Attend and Complete the Talent & Fit Assessment
This 90-minute assessment measures your interests and values and matches them to the work environment best aligned with your work-related attitudes and behaviors.
After completing the assessment, individuals who expressed interest in funding support for training opportunities will be able to schedule their next step, the WorkKeys Skills Assessment.
Results will be available within one business day and discussed at your next scheduled appointment with your Career Navigator.
6. Attend and Complete the WorkKeys Skills Assessment
This measures foundational skills required for success in the workplace and help measure the workplace skills that can affect job performance. Assessments include Applied Math, Applied Technology, Business Writing, Graphic Literacy, Workplace Documents, and Workplace Observation.
Plan for up to 6 hours to complete this assessment.
Results will be available within one business day and discussed at your next scheduled appointment with your Career Navigator.
7. Meet with Career Navigator and Review Assessment Results
After reviewing the assessment results, the Career Navigator will ensure you meet the minimum skill levels for your desired occupation based on job profiles.
If there are gaps, resources will be provided to improve any specific skills.
8. Select Training Program, Service Provider, and Apply for Funding
Your Career Navigator will provide list of all service providers offering your chosen training program.
After selecting a training program and service provider, the Career Navigator submits a Training Pipeline request for funding support.
WorkOne Indy then reviews the request, checks available funds, and confirms alignment with service provider to finalize approval.
9. Funding Approved and Begin Training Program
10. Completion of Training Program
WorkOne Indy services and your Career Navigator continue to be available throughout your training.
Once your training is complete, your Career Navigator will continue to work with you to find employment and provide follow-up services for a year after you are hired to ensure your success.
