The Career Coaching + Advising Summit is a one-day gathering of career advisors, educators, workforce professionals, and industry leaders designed to strengthen the practice of career coaching and advising across Central Indiana.
Led by EmployIndy, the workforce development board for Marion County, the summit reflects our commitment to improving the systems and supports that help learners and workers make informed career decisions.
Our approach is grounded in EmployIndy’s career advising framework, which emphasizes:
- Helping individuals understand their career options through clear, accessible information.
- Supporting informed decision-making with tools and resources that connect learning to labor market opportunities.
- Guiding transitions between education, training, and employment with practical, personalized advising.
The 2026 summit will place a special emphasis on:
- Career advising in the postsecondary space
- Supporting adult learners as they navigate career pathways and transitions
- Highlighting effective partnerships between K–12, postsecondary, and industry
- Exploring labor market trends and their impact on advising practices
